Alberta Provincial Government, Oldman River Basin, Alberta Canada: Watershed Assessment
The Alberta Provincial Government commissioned NetMap for a Watershed Assessment in the Oldman River basin (26,000 km2) in Alberta Canada. A major objective was to evaluate NetMap for use in watershed assessments across Alberta. The analysis was done in collaboration with Rich McCleary Aquatic Consulting; members of the Oldman watershed council participated .
The floodplain, roads and habitat mapping analyses were particularly useful in the analysis. See report.
NetMap was also used in the Oldman River basin to map potential threats from logging roads to vulnerable fish habitats.
